Practical half-day media training session for school representatives who are the authorised media spokespeople for their school. It can take the mishandling of just one issue, or a pattern of responses to a range of smaller issues, to tarnish a school's reputation. Preparation is the best defence for schools to influence the way they are written about, heard or seen in the media. This session is hosted by two senior ISQ staff with extensive experience in media relations, journalism, communications and issues management.

The Certificate IV in Career Development is recommended for staff who provide career services and assist students with Senior Education and Training Plans. The Certificate is undertaken in two blocks over four days. Participants must attend all four days and undertake additional hours outside the face to face sessions. In addition to the full course ISQ is also offering a Career Development Skill Set. The six units of competency provide credit transfer towards Certificate IV in Career Development, and other qualifications from the Community Services Training Package. Full details listed below.
