Our Work with Schools
Independent Schools Queensland's (ISQ) mission is to promote, support and develop independent schooling in Queensland. ISQ provides services and support which promote, strengthen and improve independent schooling.
ISQ provides member schools with services and support which promote, strengthen and improve independent schooling in the following areas:
- School business and administration. Guidance on all aspects of the management and administration of independent schools.
- Governance. Advice, training and resources to assist independent schools to achieve effective governance and strategic management.
- Educational performance and development. Support, services and resources to empower schools to deliver sustainable practices to lead and develop their teachers and school leaders.
- Student support. Services and resources to improve the support services that your school provides to students.

Cost to Maintain School Choice: $1.2 Billion by 2036
17 August 2017 - Queensland’s independent schooling sector will need 21 new Prep-Year 12 schools and 825 extra classrooms in existing schools to accommodate an additional 46,600 school-aged children by 2036, a new research report reveals.
