Membership
As students come first for schools, members come first for Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ). We are proud to serve as a not-for-profit organisation to support member school governors, leaders and teachers in all facets of their roles.
Our members are independent schools of varying sizes, geographic locations, religious affiliations and educational philosophies. The majority of independent schools operate autonomously and are separately accountable to their parent and school communities. What unifies our member schools is their diversity, their commitment to meeting and exceeding rigorous National Standards and their focus on continuous improvement.
ISQ membership is voluntary and open to all not-for-profit, non-government schools in Queensland. Member schools pay an annual subscription.
2023 Membership Benefits
ISQ is continually expanding support services and resources for member schools to ensure they remain up-to-date with significant policy changes and have the necessary support to enhance their school services. Members of ISQ benefit from a wide range of services created specifically to meet their needs.
2020 Membership Report
ISQ's Membership Report provides a statistical overview of member schools, membership growth, affiliations, size of school, funding and distribution of member schools according to local government areas, federal and state electorates.
Our Schools - Our Future
An ISQ Flagship Program, Our Schools - Our Future research promotes informed public policy debate on the issues affecting our members. The research explores trends and issues in key areas that impact the nature and performance of our school education systems.
