ISQ welcomes the review of the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) in Australia and offers recommendations to the two key questions posed: how best to attract and select high-quality candidates into ITE and how best to prepare them to become effective teachers.

As part of the submission, ISQ maintains that graduate teachers should be practised and skilled to work alongside fellow teaching colleagues to plan, teach, assess, and evaluate their impact on student progress.
