In 2023, the Queensland Government commenced a review of the Queensland Non-State Schools Accreditation Framework (the Review). The purpose was to ensure the Non-State Schools Accreditation Framework (the Accreditation Framework) was fit for purpose, supported the provision of quality education, and maintained public confidence in Queensland’s non-state schools.

Recommendation 1.3 (R.1.3) proposed that an additional Standard for boarding schools be created in Queensland, which adequately reflects the higher risk and vulnerability of students being educated while living away from their families. ISQ's feedback can be found in the submission linked below.
